Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrically biased)
Type: Full-time, Day shifts (2s and 3s) 6am till 6pm
We are looking for a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join the engineering team at the Rowse Honey manufacturing site. This role would suit an engineer experienced in maintaining and fault-finding packaging machinery within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to apply both electrical expertise and solid mechanical knowledge. While FMCG experience is not essential, you will be working in a fast-paced FMCG operation, supporting the reliability and continuous improvement of high-speed packaging lines in a food manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on our buzzing machinery, keeping everything in tip-top shape.
- Diagnose and squash mechanical and electrical issues faster than a bee can flap its wings.
- Assist in the installation of new machines and upgrades, bringing fresh ideas to our hive.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations because happy bees are safe bees.
- Work collaboratively to find ways to make our production process as smooth as honey.
Responsibilities will include:
- To work as part of the engineering team to provide effective and efficient mechanical and electrical support throughout the factory.
- Tasks will involve reactive support in the factory; continuous improvement projects planned through the maintenance system and planned maintenance tasks.
- The role will be working with a wide range of complex automated cooking processes and packaging equipment.
- Provide a proactive response to maintenance, continuous improvement tasks and reactive breakdowns on site;
- Accurate recording of all work activities;
- Completion of RCAs as required;
- Escalation of any further works required;
- Identification of CI projects for repetitive problems.
Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
- PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
- Flexibility
- Health and Safety driven
- Able to strip machines in full and reassemble them, as well as completing machine size change procedures and their adjustments
