Your Role

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will lead the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Management of engineering activities
  • Planning P.P.M. plans and ensuring completion rates
  • Minimising engineering downtime
  • Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team
  • Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards – audit ready and customer compliant
  • Ensuring engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level, including structure for day‑to‑day proactive maintenance
  • Actively leading continuous improvement and delivering engineering CI programme
  • Supporting health & safety: setting the highest standards, reporting unsafe conditions, adopting safe working practices, leading H&S within the department, supporting HSQE policy compliance, completing documentation, maintaining regulatory requirements, providing training, and addressing HSQE matters.

Qualifications

  • Electrical engineering leadership experience, ideally at degree level and site services experience
  • IOSH qualified
  • Effective leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Understanding of engineering compliance requirements
  • Recognised qualification in engineering and management
  • Experience building high‑performing teams
  • Sound commercial skills with stakeholder interaction
  • Full understanding of CMMS and PPM systems
  • NEBOSH qualified ideally
  • Cross‑functional leadership skills with strong operational and technical understanding
