Job Description
Mezz Floor Operator (night shift)
Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am
Wallingford
Salary – Up to £39,867.97, depending on skills and experience
Our Site in Wallingford is the home to our Rowse Honey and we have an open role for a Night Shift Mezz Operator, Sunday to Thursday (10pm to 6am). Reporting to the Mezz floor Team leader, the purpose of this role is to work as part of a team producing Sauce and Curds on the Mezz floor, including weighing and booking onto IFS system using correct HU.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all the ingredients are mixed to the product specifications as per the daily plan.
- Ensure that all the standard operating procedures, work instructions and escalation processes for raw materials and component parts with regards to quality defects.
- Ensure all waste materials from the manufacturing processes are disposed of in the correct waste stream.
- Monitor and drive the standards for the working area to meet or exceed the standards of safety and hygiene.
- Complete all actions raised from the GMP, and Health and Safety audit within the agreed time.
- Responsible for own output and quality to agreed levels, producing according to specification.
- Responsible for reporting defects and potential defects in all equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining all paper records and IFS transactions as required.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience of Mezz floor and bulk prep positions and running and operating of all equipment
- Previous Food Production experience
Qualifications And Knowledge
- Good understanding of IFS system.
- Good understanding of CCPs on Mezz.
- Good level of Numeracy (L1 equivalent)
Qualities and Experience
- Good organisational skills, prioritisation of own workload.
- Good awareness of allergens in line with HACCP risk assessment.
- Good experience of right first‑time checks.
