As HR Business Partner, you will partner closely with operational and site leaders to provide commercially focused HR support that drives business performance, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness across the operational side of the business. Working alongside the Lead HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and site-based teams while delivering both strategic HR initiatives and hands-on people support. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a visible impact within a growing food manufacturing business. This is a hybrid role and you would be required to spend 3 days a week at site including York, Cleckheaton, Blackburn and Blackpool.
- Partner with operational managers and leaders to provide pragmatic and commercially focused HR advice and guidance across manufacturing and operational teams.
- Support the Lead HR Business Partner in delivering the operational people agenda aligned to business objectives and site performance goals.
- Coach and support line managers on employee relations matters including performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Contribute to organisational development, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning activities.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive and inclusive culture.
- Analyse HR metrics and trends to support data-driven decision making.
- Work closely with recruitment teams and hiring managers to support attraction and retention strategies.
- Assist with change management and business transformation projects where required.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant with employment legislation and company standards.
- Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar generalist HR role.
- Experience supporting managers within a fast-paced manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain, logistics, or operational environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Confident handling employee relations cases and advising managers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD is desirable.
- A positive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
