Hygiene Operative (Nights) – Cleckheaton Sunday to Thursday, 10pm–6am. Salary £27,803 p.a.

Valeo Foods is looking for a Night Shift Hygiene Operative to join our Cleckheaton site. At Valeo Foods, we’re committed to producing great‑tasting snacks while maintaining exceptional hygiene and safety standards. Quality is at the heart of everything we do — and our Hygiene team plays a vital part in making that happen.
What you’ll be doing
- Cleaning production lines in line with CIC cleaning cards and site standards.
- Completing and signing off daily cleaning schedules accurately and on time.
- Following all hygiene procedures and work instructions, including correct machine settings, process documentation, allergen and cross‑contamination controls, HACCP requirements.
- Carrying out ad‑hoc cleaning tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Ensuring all key areas of the factory remain clean, tidy and hazard‑free at all times.
Qualifications & Knowledge
- Food Safety Level 2 (essential).
- Chemical handling training.
- COSHH training – desirable but not essential.

- Self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- A logical, methodical approach to tasks and problem‑solving.
- A positive, can‑do attitude – someone who leads by example and focuses on solutions rather than problems.
