Your Role: Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for leading our engineering team through strong and effective leadership. Your duties will include:
- Management of the engineering activities
- P.P.M. Plans and completion rates
- Minimising engineering downtime
- Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department
- Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team
- Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times, audit ready and customer compliant
- Ensuring Engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level, including structure to deliver day to day pro and re active maintenance
- Actively lead continuous improvement and deliver engineering CI programme
Health & Safety: To set the highest standards with Health and Safety and that of others around you, reporting of unsafe plant and equipment and activities. To adopt and follow safe working practices and procedures at all times, whilst ensuring teams follow safe working practices. Proactively lead on all matters relating to Health and Safety within the Department. To support, plan for and comply with the requirements of the HSQE Policy Statement at all times. To ensure all Health and Safety documentation is completed, e.g. for Contractors. To ensure that all engineering regulatory requirements are maintained and reported on. Ensure that adequate provision is made in providing all employees with information, instruction and training in Health and Safety. Ensure all HSQE matters requiring attention have been properly addressed and issues.
What We’re Looking For: An electrically biased Engineering leader, ideally to degree level & must have site services experience. IOSH qualified. Effective leadership, coaching and mentoring skills. Understanding of engineering compliance requirements. Recognized qualification in engineering and management. Experience in building high-performing teams. Sound commercial skills with stakeholder interaction. Full understanding of CMMS and PPM systems. NEBOSH qualified ideally. Cross functional leadership skills with strong operational and technical understanding.
