Job Description

Multi Skilled Engineer - Elec bias

Shift: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights

Salary: Very competitive salary!

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a new challenge? Look no further! Valeo Snackfoods, a manufacturer of some of the UK's best loved snacks and confectionery, is looking for a new member of the team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • The daily reporting of breakdowns vs. PPMs activities
  • Prioritisation of repair work
  • Planning and monitoring machine performance
  • Working with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability
  • Monitoring failure
  • Supporting External Contractors
  • Technical support for production when required
  • To maintain the highest standards in housekeeping, adopting a clean as you go policy
  • To maintain the highest standards when completing paperwork and works sign off

Key Areas Of The Role:

  • Carrying out of the engineering activities
  • Achieving P.P.M. Plans and completion rates
  • Minimizing engineering downtime
  • Maintaining GMP and safety standards within the Engineering Department
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance of engineering processes within the team
  • Ensuring the highest engineering audit standards at all times
  • Ensuring Engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level

Qualifications:

  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification
  • Able to prove competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety and safe panel entry
  • Experience of FMCG operations
  • PC Literate (thereby able to use computer-based maintenance systems)
