An exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Treasury Manager to help shape and develop a newly formed Group Treasury function within the rapidly growing Valeo Foods Group. This role combines operational treasury with high-impact project work, giving an experienced treasury professional the chance to make a real mark in a business expanding quickly across international markets in the food sector.
Initially, you’ll support the setup and embedding of core Group Treasury processes before moving into longer-term projects and ongoing treasury operations. Working closely with the Group Treasurer, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative and professional head office team. You’ll play a central role in our treasury transformation, modernising our banking landscape, strengthening cash management, and improving how we manage financial risk across multiple countries.
A major part of the role involves leading our Western Europe banking transition (UK, Germany, Ireland), acting as the main point of contact with our new banking partner, and ensuring a smooth move to automated cash pooling. You’ll partner closely with tax, legal and divisional teams throughout.
Alongside this, you’ll take ownership of group cash management: overseeing cash balances, improving our 13-week cashflow forecast, reducing idle cash, supporting smarter pooling structures, and advising countries on treasury and capital structure matters. Oversight of overdrafts and short-term funding sits here too.
Looking forward, you’ll help shape our longer-term roadmap, including assessing and implementing a Treasury Management System (TMS), improving intra-group netting processes, and managing debt facility compliance in partnership with Group Finance.
Qualifications: An experienced Treasury Manager with proven relevant experience, looking to further develop their career and eager to face the challenges of establishing a new function. Has strong communication and influencing skills to deal effectively with colleagues across different countries from North America to Western and Eastern Europe. Communicates clearly, concisely and competently. Has a collaborative way of working ensuring that all necessary and affected parties are brought into plans and actions at the earliest opportunity. Can work with colleagues across different disciplines such as Procurement, IT and Production for matters such as working capital management and use of cash. Feels comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving Group and enjoys problem solving. Process improvement: Strives to identify and implement improvements relating to systems and processes.
Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring structure, innovation and consistency to a growing Group Treasury function, while being hands-on with meaningful projects that create real value across Valeo Foods Group.
