Job Description
Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off (6 am–6 pm rotating with 6 pm–6 am)
Salary: £14.40 per hour
We are seeking a Hygiene Operative to join our Gateshead site, part of the Valeo Foods UK Group. As part of the group, we prioritize quality and excellence in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Safely store and use chemicals in accordance with COSHH and HAZOP regulations.
- Maintain adherence to cleaning procedures and hygiene systems to meet internal and customer expectations.
- Deliver service outcomes to production within the area of responsibility, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery of clean equipment for production.
- Highlight any gaps in skills and actively seek opportunities for training and development.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is reliable, self‑motivated, and has a keen attention to detail. Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred, along with basic qualifications in Food Hygiene, Working at Height, and COSHH. A basic understanding of HACCP principles is also beneficial.
