We are looking for a Tailor to join the team at our Sloan Street boutique in London. Within the store, this role plays a key part in the client experience, ensuring a level of excellence aligned with the Maison’s standards. Through strong technical expertise in tailoring and alterations, the successful candidate will actively contribute to service quality and support the achievement of store objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Perform both simple and complex alterations on men’s and women’s Ready‑to‑Wear garments, in line with haute couture standards.
- Support clients during fittings, provide advice on adjustments, and ensure precise fitting.
- Adapt garments while preserving their structure and integrity.
- Check the quality of alterations and guarantee impeccable results.
- Manage alteration forms, prepare quotations, and monitor delivery timelines.
- Carry out pressing, finishing, and packaging of garments.
- Maintain a well‑organised, safe workspace that complies with Maison standards.
- Work closely with both sales and back‑of‑house teams.
- Contribute to after‑sales activities (returns, repairs, claims) with appropriate solutions.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and Maison guidelines.
- Act as a true ambassador of Valentino’s excellence and craftsmanship.
- Approximately 3 years of experience within a luxury Maison or a similar environment.
- Strong expertise in tailoring techniques (dressmaking, structured tailoring, embroidery, complex alterations).
- Strong attention to detail, high standards, and a quality‑driven mindset.
