About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and multi-skilled Handyman / Maintenance Operative to support our client’s site to start from Week commencing 20th July. This will be 1 day per week in Dorking, RH4 (to be agreed) with the potential for more days. This is a long-term contract opportunity for someone who can manage general maintenance tasks and provide high-quality workmanship. Suitable for self-employed operatives seeking regular ongoing work alongside existing commitments.
Hours: 08:30-16:30 W/C 20th July 2 days preferred then 1 day per week going forward.
Duties include:
- Painting and decorating
- Basic joinery (e.g. fitting fire door closers, locks, and handles)
- Fitting flooring and carpet tiles
- Light plumbing (e.g. taps, toilet flushers)
- General site upkeep, including litter picking when required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman roles
- Own tools & Transport
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Must be self-employed and able to invoice
- Must have Public Liability Insurance or be willing to obtain
- Reliable and professional approach
