Valenti Recruitment are working on behalf of our client to find an experienced and hands-on Regional Field Manager to oversee a dispersed team of technical engineers across the Central UK region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, 18th Edition qualified, who thrives in the field, enjoys leading from the front, and has experience managing remote teams in a fast-paced service environment.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job. You will be managing a team of 10 to 12 mobile engineers across the region, responsible for mentoring, training, supervising quality of work, and ensuring smooth scheduling and service delivery. You will also be expected to step in to cover work during periods of absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a widely dispersed field team
- Train, mentor, and supervise engineers to maintain high service and safety standards
- Monitor quality of work and provide technical guidance in line with 18th Edition
- Oversee scheduling to ensure effective coverage and minimal downtime
- Support engineers in the field and provide hands-on cover when required
- Act as the link between field teams and management, reporting on performance and challenges
Requirements
- 18th Edition electrical qualification essential
- City and Guilds Level 1 and 2 in electrical installation or equivalent
- Previous experience managing remote or mobile technical teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance team development with performance management
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
