Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled polished reliable and experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our dynamic IT engineering and consulting team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in multiple environments simultaneously across a variety of industries and clients. This role requires up to five (5) days of on‑site work in the Greater London Area with the possibility of occasional remote support. It blends hands‑on technical troubleshooting and IT experience with strong client‑facing skills and client relationship management. The candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, adapts quickly to different systems, and delivers a polite, professional, white‑glove client experience.
This role requires cross‑platform expertise including proficiency in Microsoft Technologies, Google Workspace/Google Cloud, AWS, IdPs, endpoint management/MDMs, network management, cloud servers and solutions, cybersecurity, and data backup/disaster recovery (BCDR). The ideal candidate should have 10 years of IT engineering and consulting experience, with a proven ability to implement complex IT environments and projects. Experience with compliance frameworks such as CIS NIST 800‑171 ISO 27001 HIPAA GDPR CCPA SOC2 and SEC is highly preferred.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 IT support including troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and user issues across diverse client environments.
- Install, configure and support systems across Google Workspace, macOS and Windows environments.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all steps related to onboarding, off‑boarding and laptop provisioning.
- Support networking and cybersecurity troubleshooting (Wi‑Fi, switches, firewalls, VPN access issues, etc.).
- Build out, manage and support conference room AV setups including prepping rooms, testing equipment, setting up meetings and resolving on‑site AV issues.
- Lead the scoping, design and implementation of IT projects ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
- Utilize in‑depth knowledge of Microsoft and Google ecosystems including Azure, Office 365 and Google Workspace.
- Manage Identity Providers (IdPs) and Single Sign‑On (SSO) solutions to ensure secure and efficient access management.
- Manage highly secure wired and wireless network infrastructure.
- Implement data backup and disaster recovery solutions as per client requirements.
- Utilize in‑depth knowledge of virtualization solutions including Hyper‑V, ESXi, Azure and AWS.
- Administer Kandji/Intune (or equivalent MDM solution) for endpoint device and application management ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Ensure IT systems and processes adhere to relevant compliance standards; conduct regular assessments and implement necessary controls to maintain compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of IT systems to assess security performance and compliance and implement necessary remediation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, policies and procedures and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and consultants fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors to ensure timely delivery and integration of IT solutions.

- Track multiple priorities and communicate timelines, dependencies and key deadlines to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain strong responsibility, accountability, responsiveness, follow‑through and organizational skills.
- Partner with and communicate effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Occasionally work, communicate and collaborate with Linde Group headquarters and teams in the U.S.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge including learning unfamiliar systems and processes.
- Strong vendor management.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10‑20 years of IT consulting.
- Advanced Certifications: Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Okta Certified Administrator, CompTIA Network/CCNP, NIST 800‑171/CMMC compliance.
- Location: Fully onsite in the Greater London Area with occasional remote work.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to London or EU client sites as needed.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
