Landfill Gas Technician - Dunbar

The Landfill Gas Technician will provide routine and non-routine maintenance services on Landfill Gas and Leachate infrastructure on behalf of operational clients and ensure that delivery of maintenance services is in line with business priorities, best practice and within agreed timescales and budgets. Ensuring always that the team adheres to statutory legislation, environmental obligations, company procedures and commercial objectives. Also to undertake the safe and effective monitoring and balancing of gas collection systems (GCS) in order to optimise Valencia’s landfill gas resource for regulatory compliance and for commercial benefit through power generation.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal Landfill Gas Technician will have:

• – An understanding of the operation and basic maintenance of landfill gas power generation and control equipment.
• – The ability to solve problems and work autonomously to deadlines, constantly juggling priorities.
• – A good general level of education coupled with relevant experience in an associated discipline.
• – Good written and verbal skills, with basic IT literacy.
• – Experience of working in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
