We're the only company pioneering leadership coaching for large enterprises in an AI-first way. Our mission is to transform how the world's biggest companies approach learning and development, helping teams work better together through AI-powered personalization that adapts to individual goals and organizational culture using the latest advances in machine learning and natural language processing.
Valence is helping some of the world’s largest companies rethink how they develop their people through Nadia, our enterprise AI coach. Our events bring that work into conversation with Fortune 500 executives exploring what AI can make possible for their organizations. We’re hiring a Field Marketing Lead to shape how those conversations become lasting relationships, stronger customer communities, and measurable business growth.
Events have been foundational to Valence’s growth, and this is an opportunity to build our field marketing capabilities as our business expands. You’ll own the commercial performance of our global events program across North America and Europe, engaging enterprise prospects and customers through sponsored events, partner programs, and Valence-branded experiences. You’ll also set the strategy for regional Valence-hosted events to shape the programming and communities that give leaders a compelling reason to come together.
This role will partner closely with leaders on Sales, Client Solutions, and Marketing to connect audience insight and creative ideas to commercial outcomes. You’ll inform how we engage priority accounts, prepare executives and sellers for meaningful conversations, and build the reporting to continually review and improve event performance.
This is a hands-on role on a lean marketing team operating at startup velocity. We’re looking for sharp commercial judgment with creative ambition and analytical depth—someone who has seen scale but is excited to test ideas and understand what drives results to build one of the highest-impact events programs in enterprise.
What you’ll do:
- Own commercial activation and outcomes across the field events program; define event objectives, account and audience priorities, activation plans, and success measures across sponsored events, partner programs, and Valence-owned events.
- Co-create a strategy for regional Valence-hosted events with Sales and CS leadership that is informed by account priorities and relationship objectives.
- Build integrated event campaigns with event-specific sales enablement assets, including outreach and invitation templates, talking points, and follow-up communications.
- Activate Sales, CS, and/or Valence executives before, during, and after events with clear commercial briefings and account-specific engagement plans that drive business goals.
- Inform event content and programming based on established event objectives, and bring content insights from events to guide future campaigns.
- Own and track commercial outcomes, connecting event activities to program performance and ROI.
- Communicate insights and scale what works. Build repeatable playbooks and recommend which events and approaches to expand, change, or stop based on performance and commercial priorities.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of marketing experience, with direct responsibility for event-driven pipeline and commercial outcomes.
- Experience shaping targeted executive programs and field campaigns across multiple markets.
- Strong commercial partnership skills. You can align cross-functional teams, establish clear commitments, and drive consistent follow-through.
- Analytical depth and hands-on experience building reporting that connects activity to business outcomes, and then using it to inform recommendations.
- Excellent marketing craft, with experience articulating complex customer stories and compelling demand gen narratives. You can translate event goals into strong sales assets with clear recommendations for programming, messaging, and supporting materials.
- A systems engineering mindset. You build repeatable programs and playbooks that connect activity and owners to clear commercial impact.
- Experience building in a startup or high-growth company, but with exposure to events programs operating at scale. You’ve seen what it takes to run a high volume of events across markets without compromising on quality and commercial focus.
- A drive for excellence: You take full ownership of outcomes. You feel deeply responsible for results. If something’s off, you roll up your sleeves and fix it, even if it’s not “your job.” You challenge yourself to extraordinary growth and believe that frequent feedback is the fastest lever for getting better.
- You operate above pace: You operate with speed and conviction. You don’t wait for perfect certainty. You choose a path, test it fast, and let results guide the next move.
- You take bold bets: You lead with curiosity and not ego. You care more about strong ideas than being right. You listen well, challenge directly, and commit fully even when the decision isn’t yours.
- AI-native: you've built AI into your daily workflow and can point to specific things you've automated, accelerated, or improved with it in the last six months.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with HR-related enterprise buying audiences, including CHROs and leaders in talent, learning and development, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience.
- Experience marketing enterprise AI, HR technology, or related software.
What you'll get:
- Ownership & Rapid Growth: Outsized missions from day one, with direct responsibility for company-defining projects.
- Work alongside the executive team with transparency into strategy and decision-making.
- Influence on direction through real-time customer feedback and market insights.
- AI-First Operator: Work directly with cutting-edge AI models and next-generation platforms.
- Build expertise in enterprise AI implementation across Fortune 500 companies and multiple industries.
- Establish yourself as a recognized leader among peers in shaping how AI transforms work at a global scale.
- Compensation: Competitive salary including base + bonuses, comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision) from day one, generous PTO, company-wide R&R shutdowns, and paid parental leave, retirement plan support for US and global employees.
- Equity: Meaningful ownership in a venture-backed company at a growth inflection point, financial upside that comes from scaling fast, top-up grants as we scale and you deliver exceptional performance — your compensation grows alongside your impact.
- Top-Performing Culture: A culture built for top talent: intensity to win, growth without limits, and a team that solves hard problems and celebrates big wins together.
