About this Role

Join our friendly staff team as adedicated Healthcare Assistant providing one-to-one support during the school day for key students with complex medicalneeds. Working alongside our experience healthcareand therapy team, you will ensure students' safety, wellbeing and full accessto learning while developing specialist clinical skills through comprehensivetraining.

8.30am to 3.30pm each day (6.5 hours plus unpaid breaks)

32.5 hours per week : Monday to Friday : Β£21,457 actual gross p.a.

13 hours per week: Monday and Thursday: Β£8,582 actual gross p.a.

In thisrole you will:

  • provide one-to-one care for a studentwith a tracheostomy, including airway clearance and management (full trainingprovided)
  • support a student with diabetes andadditional complex medical needs
  • follow personalised care plans and workclosely with our nurses and physiotherapists to deliver safe, coordinated care
  • support other students with complexmedical needs when your key student is absent
  • maintain accurate records and communicateeffectively with staff and families/carers

This is an opportunity for someone who hasexperience in a healthcare, SEND or care-based role (school or clinical setting)and who is confident, calm and able to respond appropriately in medicalsituations. Full training will be provided. Youwill be committed to supporting children and young people with complex medical and additional needs, haveexcellent communication and teamwork skills and be willing to undertake allrequired training, including tracheostomy and diabetes management.
