'GOLDEN HELLO' PAYMENT OF £500*

Monday to Thursday : 24 hours per week : 3.30pm to 9.30pm : £15,011 gross p.a.

or

Monday to Thursday : 16 hours per week : 6.00pm to 10.00pm : £10,007 gross p.a.

About this role

We are looking for Care SupportAssistants to support students across in either the class or residentialsettings. In this hands-on, rewardingrole you will help students develop their independence, life skills andconfidence every day.

You will support students' physical, social, emotional andeducational needs, helping with daily activities such as mealtimes, personalcare and mobility. You will also assistwith learning, life skills and activities that promote independence andpersonal development. You will workclosely with the education or residential teams following student care plansand maintaining safety whilst supporting students' wellbeing. Specialist training including medication andgastrostomy feed administration will be provided as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is physically able to move, handle and support students safely
  • Who is committed to professional development, including working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if applicable
  • Patient, respectful and supportive, with excellent communication skills
  • Understands safeguarding and child protection principles
  • Positive, resilient, adaptable and able to respond to changing situations
  • Desirable: Experience in a school or residential setting, GCSEs in English and Maths, Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or knowledge of SEND practice.
