Are you passionate about Mathematics and motivated to make a real difference for our students? We are seeking a dedicated Maths Education Support Assistant to provide personalised support to students and enhance their learning within the maths curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential academically and personally.
What you will do:
- Support students’ learning in maths lessons and through targeted interventions, in line with teacher planning
- Prepare and adapt resources to meet individual learning needs and styles
- Promote independence and confidence through structured support and guided practice
- Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate and organised documentation
- Support students’ wider development, including social, emotional and communication skills
- Assist with whole‑school maths activities and initiatives
- Provide personal care and physical support where required
- Communicate effectively with staff and students to maintain high standards of learning and care
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures at all times
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine passion for Mathematics and supporting young people
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 5/C or above
- Patient, resilient, flexible and positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with excellent organisational ability
- Ability to work independently and use initiative while following direction from teaching staff
- Confident IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Desirable:
- Experience in an education setting, delivering maths interventions, or supporting students with SEND; knowledge of maths learning platforms and tools.
