COMMUNITY SHOP ASSISTANT MANAGER

PERMANENT PART-TIME, ALL YEAR ROUND

22.5 hours per week: 8.30am to 4.30pm: working alternate weekends

£12.21 per hour: £14,326 actual gross p.a.: 7.2 weeks holiday

Ready to bring your retail skills to a role that really makes a difference? Valence School has a vibrant community shop in the heart of Westerham, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help drive its success.

What we’re looking for:

  • Love delivering brilliant customer service
  • Enjoy eye-catching merchandising and keeping a shop looking great
  • Have retail experience (charity sector a bonus!)
  • Can support a small coffee counter—barista skills welcome but not essential
  • Enjoy working with volunteers and the local community
  • Want a meaningful role that directly supports young people with physical disabilities and complex needs

Working alongside the Shop Manager, you will help run the day-to-day operations, motivate a wonderful team of volunteers, maintain high standards and bring creativity to displays, stock rotation and shop presentation. You will also help provide brilliant work experience opportunities for Valence School students.
