Location:

Edinburgh (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home)

Salary:

£36,000 – £40,000 + Excellent Benefits

Hours:

34.5 hours per week (No weekends/evenings)

As our new Technical Advisor & Training Specialist, you won\’t just be following standards; you\’ll be helping to set them. This is a newly created, pivotal role where your decades of experience become your greatest asset.

What you will do:

• Advise: Act as the technical backbone for our members, solving complex queries and providing guidance on gas safety and technical standards.
• Educate: Move away from repetitive lecturing into high-impact workshop design and delivery.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections and contribute your expertise to the national complaints and certification processes.
• Evolve: Help us review and improve technical standards for the entire industry.

What we need from you:

• Technical Mastery: You are a fully qualified Plumber/Heating Engineer with years of hands‑on experience.
• Communication: You can explain complex technical jargon in a way that\’s easy to understand.
• Perspective: You\’re ready to move into an office/consultancy-based environment where your brain is used more than your toolkit.
