We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join a well-established and respected legal team in Edinburgh. This role is pivotal in supporting two Partners within our busy Residential Conveyancing department. This position is a traditional secretarial role, offering the chance to become an integral part of a team handling a high volume of residential conveyancing transactions. You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing comprehensive secretarial support to two Partners specialising in Residential Conveyancing.
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Handling telephone enquiries and liaising with clients and other professionals.
- Maintaining and organising physical and electronic files.
- Processing and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Conducting Land Registry searches and other relevant administrative tasks.
- Audio typing and digital dictation.
- Assisting with file management and archiving.
- Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Residential Conveyancing department.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
