Vale View Primary School is currently seeking a part-time Key Stage 2 teacher to work two days per week (0.4 FTE). We are looking for an enthusiastic and effective individual to work in KS2. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a primary school, and a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEND Code of Practice.

You will work with our caring and dedicated team to support children’s learning and social development by providing high-quality learning opportunities and care. Vale View Primary is a larger than average school situated at the heart of the local community. Our vision is to work with families to ensure that children are well prepared for the next stage of their education by ensuring children have access to a wide range of experiences through a broad and rich curriculum.

We are a fully inclusive school with a resource base provision which provides bespoke learning opportunities for 24 children.   • You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, with a child-centred vision of education, who is able to engage and enthuse children in their learning.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • You will have high expectations, excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to establish positive adult-pupil relationships.
  • You will have knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and have experience of working to support children who have special educational needs.
  • You will have excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
  • You will be committed, motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
  • You will enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with parents, staff and outside agencies.
  • You will have a sound knowledge of safeguarding.
  • You will have a commitment to after school clubs and activities and the broader curriculum.
