An exciting opportunity has arisen, we are looking to increase our team at the Vale Resort and are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef.

Salary: £35,793.06 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Location: Vale Resort

About the Role

Working as part of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and training of the kitchen team across the resort, whilst also contributing towards menu creation. The role requires flexibility to work 5 days per week between the Resort's opening hours including evening and weekend.

About You

  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience within a four star / five star hotel, resort or rosette restaurant.
  • Ideally experienced in high end functions (weddings preferred).
  • You will have strong hygiene controls including HACCP, allergen controls along with a Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast‐paced environment.
  • Passion for food, seasonal ingredients, and an eye for detail.
  • Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
