We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our clients team in Exeter.
Role Overview: In this role you will be expected to carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and installation work across a portfolio of social housing properties and retrofit projects. You will ensure that homes are safe, compliant, and meet all relevant electrical and building regulations while delivering excellent customer service to tenants. Travel across Exeter, North and South Devon and Somerset will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades in social housing properties and retrofit properties
- Wiring and rewiring works
- Consumer unit upgrades and replacements - extractor fans and storage heaters
- Electrical repairs to lighting, sockets, and switches
- Electrical installation work in kitchens, bathrooms, and extensions
- Install and maintain electrical systems
- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and remedial works in line with current regulations.
- Ensure that all works comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and any other relevant legislation.
- Complete all necessary certification and paperwork accurately, including EICs and Minor Works Certificates.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Proven experience in domestic electrical work.
- Full UK driving licence - due to the travel required for the role.
