Llangollen Golf Club is a friendly, private members club established in 1908, located in the Dee Valley, Northeast Wales.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef Manager to lead the catering and bar operation in a busy and popular club. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Chef Manager to manage our established bar and catering team.
We are looking for enthusiasm and passion in delivering service excellence and would welcome innovative and new approaches to the service the club offers.
The position is 'live in' utilising the clubs on site flat and contract / employment terms are flexible. Self-employed status is an option with a competitive retainer and a profit share from this established business. The opportunity may potentially suit a couple.
The clubhouse is open 7 days a week and has a well-equipped Kitchen, a main bar area, dining capacity for 80 people and a separate small private meeting room / dining facility. There is also an outside decking area offering additional seating overlooking the 5th Tee and 18th Green.
Catering services include:
- Cooked breakfast, hot and cold sandwiches. Snacks and meals.
- Day to day catering (varying hours depending on the time of year)
- Team matches, golf societies and visiting party meals.
- Club social functions including formal dinners
- Sunday lunches
The onsite accommodation is a two bedroomed unfurnished flat. Ideally the successful candidate(s) would be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven track record in Catering and Bar Management
- Good communication skills with high focus on customer service to both members and visitors
- Work effectively with the club management and existing staff.
- Health & Safety and Food Hygiene experience with up-to-date Certification and being conversant with licensing laws and competent in cellar management.
We aim to meet with interested parties by the end of March with a view to filling the post as soon as possible.
