The Vale of Glamorgan Council is looking for someone to work across its Corporate Strategy and Insight teams. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide range of innovative policy, performance, and data work to inform decisions taken across the organisation.

About The Role

The role involves working in partnership across the Council and with many other organisations to understand through engagement, research and data the needs within our communities and how we can work together to meet those needs.

The trainee role is for a fixed term of two years and provides the opportunity to get involved in work such as policy development, data analysis, consultation and engagement and project management. Through the role you will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills and access formal training to develop your career pathway.

Pay Details: £26,824 – £28,598 per annum pro rata

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Barry with some homeworking

Temporary Reason: Trainee

About You

To deliver in this role you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to work on your own initiative and an interest in policy development and research.
