About Us

The Creative Communities team focuses on three main areas:

  • Community Led Local Development
  • Managing External Funds
  • Managing Internal Funds

We support communities and organisations in their aspirations, encouraging ambition and empowerment, while aligning with the Council\’s goals. The team is part of the Regeneration departments within the Place Directorate, covering Economic Regeneration, Social and Cultural Regeneration, and Environmental Regeneration. Additionally, the team collaborates with the Strategy and Partnership team on public sector initiatives to address community needs, especially in deprived areas.

About The Role

Pay Details: Grade 9
Hours: 37 hours/week, flexible pattern
Location: Barry/Home Working (Temporary Contract)

This role aims to promote and facilitate economic, environmental, and social regeneration, focusing on asset-based community development and addressing inequalities identified through WIMD 2019. The role involves working with partners such as the Police and the University Health Board to implement changes that reduce community inequalities.

About You

We seek a conscientious and confident communicator with facilitation experience, capable of encouraging participation and co-producing solutions. You should have significant experience in multi-agency regeneration projects with a successful track record. The ideal candidate is methodical, self-motivated, and maintains high standards of integrity, organization, and quality under pressure. Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential.
