About the role
Pay Details: Grade 9, SCP 31 - 35, £40,476 - £44,711 (Pro Rata), £20.98 - £23.17ph
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 0 hours, Mon- Fri, 52 Weeks, Part-Time
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices - Barry
Description: Working as part of a small close team you will be dealing with restructures, complex discipline, grievance and attendance matters where good judgement and knowledge of employment law is essential, in addition to becoming involved in Council initiatives and objectives as outlined in the corporate plan. Whilst you will have discrete service areas of responsibility you will be expected to assist other colleagues as and when required.
About you
You will need:
- excellent communication skills
- good time management
- be resourceful and think outside the box to assist in delivering workable solutions to sometimes complex situations whilst bearing in mind potential repercussions on other parts of the organisation
- ability to multi-task and work flexibly is essential as is working to tight deadlines
- experience of working in the public sector and dealing with Trade Unions.
