About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 1, SCP 2, £24,309, £12.60ph (Pro Rata)
Working Hours: 22.5 Hours weekly during Term-Time, with additional hours during school holidays.
Working Pattern: Before School: 7:30am – 9:00am / After School Session: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Main Place of Work: Evenlode Primary School
Contract Length: To be reviewed after 6 months with the needs of the service
Description: You need to have the desire to support children of all abilities within the play setting. Working as part of a team you will be involved in the planning and delivery of fun and creative play opportunities for children aged 4yrs to 11 yrs. You will assist in the completion of documentation such as risk assessments and daily attendance registers.
About You
Ideally, you will need a good standard of education to GCSE. No childcare qualifications necessary but must have willing to complete any relevant training for the role. Desirable to have a relevant Level 1 / 2 qualification in Playwork.
Experience working with children is an advantage. An understanding of the importance of play is desirable with an aptitude for organising fun activities indoors and outdoors in all weather. Knowledge of the Playwork Principles would be an advantage but not essential and show an understanding of the importance of Safeguarding. You will also have the ability to communicate with both children and adults.
