The predicted salary is between 37280 - 46142 £ per year.

Within the Vale Locality Mental Health Team, the successful candidate will be working with citizens who experience severe and enduring mental health difficulties and who require services from secondary mental health services under the Mental Health (Wales) Measure in the Vale of Glamorgan. They will work closely with health colleagues in contributing to the provision of a multi-disciplinary community mental health team to assist the citizen in their recovery journey. They will be expected to undertake assessments and formulate and review integrated care and support plans that promote the independence of citizens and their resilience in managing their mental health difficulties and their impact on their life.

If the candidate is qualified as an Approved Mental Health Professional under the Mental Health Act, they will also be expected to assist the Local Authority in discharging its statutory duties under said Act.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and hard‑working individual(s) to be part of a dynamic Integrated Community Mental Health Team.

Key Responsibilities and Experience
  • Experience of working with adults who are vulnerable through illness, disability or age‑related frailty.
  • Assessment of adult service users and carers.
  • Working in partnership with statutory/voluntary organisations to promote the independence of service users.
Suitable Candidates
  • Grade 8 – Newly qualified social workers, less than 2 years post‑qualified/practising experience; prepared to undertake studies to meet the registration requirements within the Care Council for Wales CPEL framework.
  • Grade 9 – Social workers with over 3 years practising work experience; routinely manage complex cases; competent in producing reports rooted in rigorous practice methodology and, where required, legislation.
