About the role
Salary details: Grade 1 SCP 2, £24,413 (Pro Rate), £12.65 (Hourly Rate)
Working Hours / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday. Term time 10 hours/week (38 weeks). 8 hour/week break (5 weeks).
Main Work: Llanfair Primary
Description: Assisting in providing an effective cleaning service to building cleaning clients. Replacing other cleaners during periods of holidays, sickness, lack of staff and other absences. Occasionally assists the site supervisor/supervisor with the training of cleaning staff. Undertake all aspects of cleaning tasks such as; carpet cleaning and steam cleaning, cleaning according to the site specification, cleaning after construction, cleaning during breaks and other cleaning not normally specified in the site specification.
About You
- You will need: Previous experience of working in the cleaning industry or in another cleaning-related discipline/environment.
- A basic understanding of the various cleaning tasks that need to be undertaken to provide an efficient and effective Cleaning Service.
- Good oral skills and ability to negotiate with members of the public and client officers.
- Be able to perform lifting and carrying duties and physically labour.
- You must be able to work from your own head and paste and perform duties effectively.
- Positive and self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and responsive to changes in priorities and demand.
- Willing to work irregular hours.
- Be able to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.
