About Us
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Providing assessment, early intervention and preventative support to children, young people and their families or carers referred to the Project.
LIAISON: Service users and partner agencies - statutory, voluntary and independent organisations.
Major Purpose of Post: To provide a direct service to children, young people and their families/carers, in line with the Families First guidance, relevant national standards and local and national legislation and guidance.
About The Role
- Pay Details: Grade 6, SCP 14 - 19 £29,540 - £32,061 p.a.
- Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, some flexibility required.
- Main Place of Work: Barry.
- Temporary Reason: Welsh Government funded role.
Description: To provide a consistent and quality service to all service users (children, young people, parents & carers) referred to the Families First TAF Service. To undertake service user assessments including assessments of need and assessments of risk to inform support planning, in line with Service and national standards. To facilitate and chair TAF multi agency meetings and reviews to ensure support plans are agreed, implemented and monitored in line with agreed service standards. To implement agreed support plans including ongoing assessment, planning, monitoring and reviewing responsibilities in line with service standards.
About You
You will need:
- Experience of working in an appropriate Statutory/Voluntary setting with children/young people and families in a strengths based way and in partnership with other agencies.
- Experience of supporting families with complex needs.
- Ability to assess, plan, action, review and evaluate.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team with a high level of personal motivation and ability to motivate others.
- Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively (in both written and oral form).
