About Us

The Shared Regulatory Service (SRS) is a partnership between Bridgend Council, Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council to deliver the Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing functions.

About The Role

  • Pay Details: Grade 6, SCP 14-19 £29,540 - £32,061 Pro Rata £15.31 - £16.62 Per Hour
  • Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours flexible working (part time/job share applications will be considered)
  • Main Place of Work: Bridgend/Cardiff/Vale of Glamorgan, business premises, office locations and home working.
  • Temporary Reason: Secondment of the post holder

Duties will include:

  • Assist with the maintenance of the local air quality management monitoring networks, across Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, in accordance with approved sampling programmes and relevant codes of practice.
  • Undertake environmental sampling in terms of Local Air Quality Management, Private Water Supplies/Temporary Event Supplies and contaminated land, to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and service requests.
  • Provide any assistance to officers in support of the teams’ inspection programmes; engagement with businesses and other clients; and educational initiatives.
  • Record and collate results from the sampling programmes, providing statistics and completing returns as necessary.
