About The Role

Pay Details: Grade 5 SCP 8-12 £26,824 - £28,598 p.a.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm & Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry

Description: Administration of Local Taxation including listing, collection, recovery and enforcement of Council Tax, NNDR and all income due to the Council.

About You

You will need:

  • An understanding of matters relating to the recovery of Council Tax, National Non Domestic Rates and all other income due to the Council.
  • Experience in dealing with financial matters.
  • Experience in working with fully computerised systems.
  • Able to deal confidently and effectively with customers.
  • Able to deal with customers in difficult situations.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent level / ability to achieve the required standard in numeracy and literacy testing.
