We are welcoming applications for a Playworker to work in our Out of School Club, located within Evenlode Primary School. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected team that delivers high quality childcare.
Role Details
- Pay: Grade 1 SCP 3 £13.45 per hour
- Hours: 15 hours per week, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Mon‑Fri
- Place of work: Evenlode Primary School, Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan
Responsibilities
- Support children of all abilities within the play setting.
- Plan and deliver fun and creative play opportunities for children aged 4–11 years.
- Assist in completion of documentation such as risk assessments and daily attendance registers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Good standard of education to GCSE.
- No childcare qualifications necessary but willingness to complete relevant training for the role.
- Desirable: relevant Level 1/2 qualification in Playwork.
- Experience working with children is an advantage.
- Understanding of the importance of play, ability to organise fun activities indoors and outdoors in all weather.
- Knowledge of Playwork Principles would be an advantage but not essential.
- Understanding of safeguarding.
- Ability to communicate with children and adults.
