We are welcoming applications for a Kitchen Assistant to work in our kitchen for our Out of School Club, located within Evenlode Primary School.
Pay details: Grade 1 SCP 3 £13.45 per hour
Hours of work: 7:30 am to 8:30 am and 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm Mon to Fri
Main place of work: Evenlode Primary School, Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan.
Contract: Permanent Term time for 38 weeks a year
Closing date: 8th July 2026
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person who has the passion for preparing nutritious food options for our children. You need to have some knowledge to comply with all legislative requirements relating to food hygiene, including Health and Safety, Food Standards, and Environmental Health. You will be involved in the menu planning of food options alongside the Manager. You also need to enjoy working with children and be able to show an understanding of the importance of Safeguarding.
About You
- You will need Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 for Catering qualification
- Experience working within a kitchen environment is essential.
- You will also have the ability to communicate with both children and adults.
