About Us
The Vale of Glamorgan is welcoming applications within its Flying Start Programme. Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded programme and is available in targeted areas supporting all families to give 0-3-year olds a Flying Start in life. The programme aims to provide intensive support services for children and their families. The focus of the programme is on promoting language, cognitive, social and emotional skills, physical development and the early identification of high needs. This is achieved through the delivery of health support and guidance, parenting groups and support and free part time childcare.

About The Role
- Pay Details: 18-20: £8.60/ph, 21+: £11.44/ph
- Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, term time only
- Main Place of Work: Barry
- Temporary Reason: Welsh Government funded project
Description
To support the team in providing high quality childcare provision for children aged 2-3 years within Flying Start settings.
About You
- Experience/Interest of working with Babies/Young children and their families
- Basic knowledge of child development
- A good general education
- Willingness to work toward QCF level 2 and level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, within an agreed timescale
- Motivation and enthusiasm for the post and an understanding of the tasks required
- Friendly and approachable manner and be able to communicate with a range of professionals and parents
- Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate
