Vale, Valleys and Cardiff Adoption Collaborative (VVC) is one of five regional Collaboratives which form part of the National Adoption Service in Wales. It performs a range of Adoption Agency functions on behalf of Merthyr Tydfil CBC, RCT CBC, Cardiff Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Pay Details: Grade 3, SCP 4, Β£24,404 (p.a/Pro Rata), Β£13.05ph
Hours of Work: 18.5 hours (part time)
Main Place of Work: Dock Office, Barry
Contract Type: Permanent
Description: To assist in carrying out the business support functions associated with the Collaborative and in developing systems which promote a quality and efficient service.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 2 years clerical experience.
- Experience maintaining good administrative systems.
- Experience applying computer based information systems.
- Experience working in accordance with financial management systems.
- Experience taking minutes.
- Awareness of the work of Local Government.
- Knowledge of business administration systems.
- Knowledge of the scope and application of computer based information systems.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work on one's own.
- Ability to motivate others and promote effective team working.
- Ability to respond to customers of the service efficiently and professionally.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills including ability to minute meetings and provide accurate records.
- Good organisational skills and ability to co-ordinate tasks and people.
- Good IT and keyboard skills including the full range of Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
