About The Role

To carry out the functions of the Collaborative in terms of the recruitment & assessment of adopters, family finding & the provision of adoption support services ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, policies and procedures and performance measures. This job is based within the post-adoption support team.

Pay Details

  • Grade 8 SCP 26 – 30 £37,280 to £40,777 pro rata £19.32‑£21.14 per hour
  • Grade 9 SCP 31 – 35 £41,771 to £46,142 pro rata £21.65‑£23.92 per hour

Salary on appointment will depend upon qualification and experience as determined by the appointing officer. There is no automatic progression from Grade 8 to Grade 9.

About You

You will need:

  • A good standard of general education.
  • A recognised Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work i.e. Degree, DipSW, CQSW etc.
  • Registration with the Care Council
  • Post qualifying experience of statutory childcare social work
  • Post qualifying experience of working with children in the looked after system and adoption.
  • Post qualifying experience of presenting written and verbal information to Court and other forums.
  • Experience of working in a team.
  • Experience of working with other professionals and agencies.
