About The Role

  • Pay Details: Grade 9 SPC 31 - 35 £41,771 - £46,142 Pro Rata £21.65 - £23.92 Per Hour
  • Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 Hours, Flexible and Hybrid working supported
  • Main Place of Work: Any Council Office and Hybrid
  • Contract Type: Permanent

We are strengthening our approach to financial planning, improving digital reporting and continuing to embed strong finance business partnering across the Council. We value professional curiosity, healthy debate and giving people the space to think, question and improve how things are done.

About You

What You Need:

  • Lead and shape financial practice across a portfolio of Council services.
  • Set expectations and standards for financial management and reporting.
  • Provide clear, balanced and trusted advice to officers and Members, shaping and influencing decisions.
  • Manage and develop staff within the Accountancy team.
  • Drive improvement in financial processes, controls and ways of working.
