As an HR Business Partner at Valda, you’ll be instrumental in delivering our people strategy and supporting our commitment to a people-first culture. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll work closely with leaders across the business to shape and implement strategic initiatives across talent, performance, and development. This newly created role offers the opportunity to make a real impact, champion our culture, and drive meaningful change. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are looking to offer part-time hours between 22.5 and 30 hours per week. Whether you’re looking for a role that fits around school hours (e.g. 5 shorter days) or prefer to work 3 longer days, we’re open to discussing what works best for you.

The day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

  • Support the delivery of strategic HR initiatives across employee engagement, talent acquisition, performance, and development
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on people matters
  • Lead departmental engagement action planning following employee surveys
  • Enhance performance management processes using employee feedback and best practices
  • Support succession planning and talent mapping across the business
  • Manage complex employee relations cases with professionalism and care
  • Champion and lead on DEI and wellbeing strategies
  • Help shape and promote Valda’s employer brand and EVP
  • Embed our values through cultural and engagement initiatives

The Spark we're Looking For:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or has equivalent proven HR experience)
  • Experienced in a similar HR Business Partner role, with strong generalist HR knowledge
  • Skilled in employee relations, including managing complex cases
  • Knowledgeable in UK employment law and people-related risk
  • Confident in designing and implementing talent development and performance management initiatives
  • Able to support and influence senior leaders with strong business partnering and coaching skills
  • Experienced in delivering reward and retention strategies (desirable)
  • A great communicator with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
