How you will Energise Our Team:
We are looking for a highly analytical Commercial Insights Analyst to support the development, performance, and optimisation of our commercial propositions and sales support function. This role will play a key part in turning data into actionable insight, supporting pricing and proposition decisions, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes. You will work closely with the Commercial Product & Propositions Manager to deliver reporting, analysis, and operational improvements that drive commercial performance.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Produce and maintain regular and ad hoc reporting on sales performance, propositions, and TPI channel activity, ensuring accuracy, organisation, and version control across all outputs
- Analyse trends in pricing, conversion, margin, and customer behaviour to identify risks, opportunities, and commercial insights
- Support the development and optimisation of commercial propositions through data-led analysis, competitor monitoring, and market insights
- Own and improve key commercial reports, dashboards, and Excel models, identifying opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across commercial reporting, models, and analysis
- Act as a key point of contact for commercial data requests, providing analytical support for projects, business cases, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, Operations, and P&P teams to support commercial initiatives and assist the Commercial P&P Manager in preparing materials for senior stakeholders
The Spark we’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and A-Level Mathematics or another analytical subject; a degree in STEM, Economics, Finance, or a related analytical discipline would be advantageous
- 2+ years’ experience in an analytical or commercial role, with experience working with data, reporting, and performance analysis; experience in pricing, commercial analysis, sales performance reporting, or within the energy/utilities sector is beneficial
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation); experience with Power BI or similar visualisation tools, and basic SQL or other data tools, would be advantageous
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interrogate data, identify trends, and turn insights into clear recommendations
- Strong communication skills with confidence presenting data in a clear and simple way, alongside strong organisation, proactivity, and a collaborative team approach
