Your Impact
As a Business Transformation Analyst (Business, Technology, Data & AI), you will help organisations translate complex strategic & operational challenges into practical solutions across technology, data, and AI-enabled transformation programmes. Working at the intersection of business, technology, and data, you’ll support the design and delivery of modern digital platforms, data ecosystems, and intelligent solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and delivery teams to ensure that business needs are clearly understood and translated into solutions that are both technically viable and commercially valuable. You’ll also contribute to the growth of Valcon’s UK practice by supporting high-quality delivery, helping identify and shape propositions, and promoting best practices across consulting, data, and technology teams. You will play a key and measurable role in achieving Valcon's growth ambitions in the coming years.
The Role
We’re hiring a Business Transformation Analyst with experience in business operations, technology, data, AI and digital transformation to support complex programmes across a range of industries including Financial Services, Public Sector, and energy & water Utilities and transportation Pharma. You’ll play a central role in bridging business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, helping define requirements, improve processes, understand the systems and data implications and support the successful delivery of transformation initiatives. You’ll work across programmes that may include:
- Enterprise technology transformation and digital platforms
- Data platform modernisation (data lakes, warehouses, pipelines)
- AI and advanced analytics solutions
- SaaS implementations and enterprise system integrations
- Cloud platform adoption (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Digital product and customer experience initiatives
This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex business, technology and data problems and working across multidisciplinary teams (on, near and off shore) to turn strategy into practical delivery. Understanding the challenges of managing teams across timezones and geography is essential to success.
What You’ll Do
- Work with business stakeholders to understand challenges, objectives, and opportunities
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and shape solutions
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories
- Support solution design in collaboration with architects, engineers, and product teams
- Systems design and improvement analysis – reviewing IT structures and platforms to identify inefficiencies, and create plans and requirements that match business strategic objectives
- Map and improve business processes to support technology and data transformation
- Data Collection & Management: Identifying, collecting, and moving data between various systems while ensuring its integrity.
- Visualisation & Reporting: Creating dashboards, charts, and reports (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel) to communicate findings to decision-makers.
- Strategic Recommendations: Using insights to advise management on operational improvements, such as increasing efficiency or reducing costs.
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical delivery
- Support Agile delivery practices including backlog management and sprint planning
- Produce high-quality documentation including requirements, process maps, and solution designs
- Support testing, validation, and implementation activities
- Contribute to programme governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within technology or digital transformation programmes
- Experience working with technology platforms, data initiatives, or analytics solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Ability to translate complex business needs into structured requirements
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Understanding of modern technology architectures, cloud platforms, or enterprise systems
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments is highly desirable
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of systems such as AWS, Data Bricks, ERP platforms, database structures and ideally some exposure to programming languages
- Analytical Thinking: A methodical and investigative mind to solve complex problems and interpret data correctly.
- Communication: The ability to explain technical details and data findings in a clear, persuasive way to non-specialist audiences.
