Valcon are looking for a Project Manager who has a consulting background to join the team on a permanent basis.
Experience Required- Must have experience/background in consulting
- Proven experience managing large-scale business and technology transformation projects.
- Proven experience of the application of Project Management methodologies, implementing governance frameworks
- Previous experience working within an Agile environment, preferable
- Proven experience of working on technology or data projects
- Relevant professional qualifications based on domain area expertise – Prince2, PMP, Agile, SAFe etc.
- Assisting in development and providing ongoing maintenance of the high level and detailed project plans with our clients
- Run, plan and oversee all aspects of a project, and meet the project’s goals on time and within budget.
- Organise people, tasks and resources to bring about a successful conclusion.
- Ensure adherence to project change control processes and templates
- Drive implementation of best practice in risk policies and governance frameworks
- Experience of having effectively managed dependencies in major projects and programmes
- Progress reporting and risk management
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem solving and analytical skills
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with senior management and key personnel
- Ensuring successful delivery of projects
- Developing and maintaining high-level project plans
- Managing all aspects of delivery including scope, timeline, risks, issues and budget
- Inspire, coach, and motivate all members of the project team
- Contributing to business development, solution development, and the creation of proposals and associated marketing to support client and prospective client requirements
- Active involvement in the renewal of their engagement on assignments
- Contributing to the creation of collateral, the development of services, and associated marketing to enhance the capabilities of the Consulting Practice.
- Proactively embrace assessment and development processes to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of skills, knowledge, experience, professional insights, and competencies that underpin consulting value.
- Taking an active role in networking, events, and the personal and professional development opportunities.
