We are seeking a skilled and motivated ESRI Dashboard Developer to join our GIS team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive spatial dashboards and web applications using the ESRI ArcGIS platform. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will translate complex datasets into clear, compelling visualisations that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build dynamic, interactive dashboards using ArcGIS Dashboards (Operations Dashboard)
  • Develop and maintain ArcGIS Experience Builder and ArcGIS StoryMaps applications
  • Create and configure ArcGIS Web AppBuilder applications with custom widgets
  • Integrate Real Time data feeds and live layers into operational dashboards
  • Prepare, process, and publish spatial and tabular datasets to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Build and maintain feature layers, hosted feature services, and map services
  • Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing workflows to support dashboard functionality
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across all published services
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualisations
  • Liaise with IT infrastructure teams to support ArcGIS Enterprise deployments
  • Provide training and documentation for end users on dashboard tools and features
  • Present dashboard prototypes and gather feedback iteratively
  • Monitor dashboard performance and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Keep systems up-to-date with ESRI software releases and best practices
  • Contribute to a centralised GIS asset library and documentation repository

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience developing dashboards and web applications using ESRI ArcGIS platform
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Pro
  • Strong working knowledge of ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, and Web AppBuilder
  • Experience publishing and managing feature services and hosted layers
  • Solid understanding of spatial data formats (Shapefile, GeoJSON, File Geodatabase, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying spatial and attribute data
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS API for JavaScript or Python (ArcPy/ArcGIS API for Python)
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and integrating external data sources into ArcGIS workflows
  • Degree (or equivalent) in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on ESRI platform development experience

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of web development technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and ArcGIS REST services
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau alongside ArcGIS workflows
  • ESRI Technical Certification (eg EADA, EAAD) is an advantage
  • Experience with field data collection tools such as Survey123 or Collector for ArcGIS
  • Understanding of database technologies such as PostgreSQL with PostGIS or SQL Server
