This is an opportunity for an experienced Capital Actuary to join a leading London Market insurance organisation.
The role offers significant exposure to a range of capital modelling activities, with the opportunity to work on complex technical projects and contribute to wider initiatives across the business.
What makes the role particularly interesting is the breadth of exposure and the opportunity to consider how wider market developments and emerging risks, including inflation, geopolitical events and cyber, influence capital requirements and modelling assumptions.
You would also work closely with senior actuarial and risk stakeholders, presenting technical findings, challenging assumptions and helping influence decisions around capital adequacy and model development.
Importantly, this is a role where you would remain technically involved whilst taking on broader responsibilities, including leading complex reviews, managing projects and supporting the development of junior members of the team.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent).
- Strong background in General Insurance capital modelling.
- Broad technical understanding of capital models, methodologies and risk drivers.
- Experience with capital model review, validation or independent challenge would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of Solvency II and relevant capital regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to challenge technical assumptions and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects and supporting junior colleagues.
