This role exists as part of a transition to bring reserving fully in-house. It offers early exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape how reserving is built and used across the business. You will join at a point where processes, tools and frameworks are still being developed, giving you real involvement in how the function is set up.

The role includes:

  • Support the build and transition of the reserving process into an in-house environment
  • Contribute to designing a GAAP reserving process and Solvency UK technical provisions model
  • Work closely with the Head of Reserving and Chief Actuary on key decisions
  • Apply actuarial judgement to methods, assumptions and areas of uncertainty
  • Support the implementation of reserving systems and tools
  • Build and enhance controls to ensure robust and reliable outputs
  • Engage with underwriting, claims and finance to understand drivers of reserve movements
  • Identify improvements and help shape how the reserving process evolves
