Valayo are partnering with a leading, high-growth specialty MGA who are looking to appoint a Head of Reserving & Portfolio Performance into a newly created leadership position.
This is an opportunity for an experienced reserving actuary looking to move beyond traditional statutory reserving and regulatory reporting into a more commercially focused role, with significant influence over underwriting strategy and portfolio performance.
Reporting directly to the Chief Actuary, you'll take ownership of the quarterly reserving process, leading senior-level actuarial judgments and using reserving insights to support decisions around portfolio profitability, pricing, underwriting appetite and growth opportunities.
You’ll work closely with the Chief Underwriting Officer, alongside senior stakeholders across Underwriting and Pricing, helping to shape how actuarial insights are used to drive commercial decision-making.
