Valayo is working with a leading London Market insurer on an opportunity to join their established Capital Modelling team at Manager level.
This is a broad capital role combining technical modelling, strategic model use and senior stakeholder exposure, with the opportunity to take ownership of key areas of the Internal Model and help shape how capital analysis is used across the business.
A major focus is model use. You'll work closely with teams across Underwriting, Reinsurance, Investment and Risk, using capital analysis to support decisions around portfolio mix, reinsurance structures, investment strategy and wider business growth.
There's also significant exposure to senior stakeholders, with the opportunity to present and communicate complex model outputs and provide insight into the relationship between risk, capital and reward.
You'll also have responsibility for developing and coaching other members of the Capital team, with scope to take increasing ownership as the team continues to develop.
They're particularly interested in candidates who are:
- Qualified Actuaries with General Insurance experience
- Experienced in capital modelling within the London Market
- Able to interpret and challenge complex model outputs
- Interested in strategic model use and portfolio optimisation
- Strong communicators who enjoy working with stakeholders outside of Actuarial
- Comfortable taking ownership of projects and supporting more junior team members
