This is an opportunity for a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary to join a leading London Market insurance organisation, working on a variety of capital modelling and wider actuarial projects.
The role offers significant exposure to complex capital modelling work, with the opportunity to develop a broader understanding of different risks, modelling methodologies and how capital requirements influence business decisions.
What makes the role particularly interesting is the breadth of technical exposure, including the opportunity to consider how emerging risks, changing market conditions and wider economic developments influence capital modelling assumptions and requirements.
You would work closely with experienced actuaries and senior stakeholders, contributing to technical analysis, reviewing modelling assumptions and presenting findings and recommendations. There is also the opportunity to become involved in wider actuarial initiatives, helping develop and improve existing modelling approaches, tools and processes.
The position offers a good balance of technical work and stakeholder exposure, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects, develop your technical expertise and take on greater responsibility as you progress.
What we're looking for:
- Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent).
- Experience in General Insurance, with exposure to capital modelling.
- Strong actuarial and analytical skills, with an understanding of capital modelling methodologies and risk drivers.
- Experience with technical modelling, model review or validation would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings and work with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience using Excel, with knowledge of R, VBA or other analytical programming tools advantageous.
